And how come only Thom is mentioned in IWld Magic (I need all these questions answered, because I just finished wild magic for the first time, and I havent finished Wolf Speaker yet) I am so confused!!!!!! And how did Daine learn how to change into an animal (squire...) ? And I realised I sound very rude when I am thinking up what to say, and I apologise.

You don't sound rude, don't worry! I'm a bit confused about your question though. What's wrong with having 3 kids? The series is set a long time after SotL. Is it that you never pictured Alanna as a Mom having that many kids? And everybody else already answered the Daine query.

Well, there were about 8 years between SotL and TI, so that is plenty of time for her to have children. I suppose she had them becuase she wanted them. Daine does learn shapeshifting in Wolf-Speaker, and the whole process of her learning and stuff is in there.

Buuuut, you now how the book says that Tkaa sounded like the whisper f flutes, well is that when flutes are playing quietly, or that papery sound with a bit of a squeak that happens when you dont blow into the flute hard enough...

Just to set the timeline straight, WILD MAGIC begins ten years after LIONESS RAMPANT. Thom is 6 and the twins, Alan and Alianne (since I never got back to Alanna and her family in that quartet, I never gave their names) are 4. Aly is 13 in TRICKSTER'S CHOICE, the book I'm writing now; Thom's at uni, and Alan just decided what the hey, he'll go for his knighthood. Alan does things in his own time.

I never was fond of the naming people after people thing... it gets complicated, and some people get jealous about such things.

in fact, in jewish tradition, it's considered an ill omen to name a baby after a living relative. Prolly something to do with taking the adult's soul or place or something.

I read First Test, then Alanna: The Fist Adventure, then In The Hand of The Goddess, then Page, then TWWRLAM, then LR, then Squire, then WM (which has the best british cover so far), the WS. And I have seen the british cover for LK somwhere, and I like it. I am getting the hard back USA copy though - it was out sooner. Ok, so that fixes the alanna thing, but tammy, what sort of flute sound does Tkaa make? The papery whistling sound that you get when you dont bklow into the flute hard enough, or the sound you get when you play it quietly (I play the flute, by the way)

I play too and i think of it as the first one because he is a lizard.
It is good to find out tha thom when to Uni i have always wondered and i like the sound of Alan doing things in his own time and not trying to keep up with his twin.
