I was just curious.. would being a Queen's Rider not hurt the odds of marrying someone wealthy and getting lots of money for the Rider girl's family? I just thought it was odd that Kennan needs all of this money, yet Cleon's sister isn't being a 'lady', she's a Rider. It just seemed like being a lady knight made wealth through marriage less likely, so might being a Rider girl have a similar effect?

Who's Cleon's sister? I didn't even know he had one. *feels ignorant* I don't pay too much attention the little details, and I forget them easily. I guess I should reread the series.

Your theory seems right to me. A lot of people would probably rather marry someone prim and proper than a wild ruffian rider! But you never know, things are changing in Tortall.

I remember her being mentioned briefly when Raoul was talking to Kel about romance and stuff.... but your theory sounds right, I agree!

I don't think so, didn't what's-her-name Miri (that the right name???) say that it was easy to get into the Riders?

I think Cleon's mother may have disinherited his sister for choosing the Riders. (She did run away from the convent.) It doesn't bug Cleon, but his mother is majorly cheesed.
