'K. That was enough....right?

Anyhow, we all know animal gods are reborn. We've seen it. Yeah. All that. Are only animal gods reborn? And can a human god or a Great God be killed? In the part where Daine is dreaming about the Gods circling about the Goddess of Chaos keeping her in, she asks Rattail "Why don't they kill her?" and Rattail replies that Mother Flame and Father Universe allow them to exnslave or imprison one another, but not "kill a sibling"...as if they could. And then, are "siblings" only the greater gods and all the lesser gods their cousins and such? Can a god be killed? Well, we know about animal gods, but if another god were to blast Mithros with fire, would he be reborn? It seems they can be killed, but it is forbidden, and no mortal is powerful enough...but then, where is the line between God-that-can-be-killed and God-that-is-reborn drawn?

EDITED FOR A DUMB SPELLING ERROR

I don't think that Gods can be killed. Thats what makes them gods right?

But it said that the gods "were forbidden to slay , as she was forbidden to slay them" Sounds like they could if they wanted to...

I think the major Gods and Goddesses can kill each other, but with a ton of time and effort. Mere mortals, immortals, or lesser gods wouldn't be able to manage such a feat.

That's my theory, anyway.

You can kill a human-like god, since wars and murder are part of what makes us human, but the result would be cataclysmic, on an order no one likes to contemplate. If Chaos won, remember, it would be the end, the overwhelming, of everything humanity and the gods found necessary. Even when Kyprioth took his major defeat, he was simply exiled to the ends of the universe, not killed (they really don't want Mom and Dad showing up, either), and his consort the Jaguar Goddess is chained, not dead. (Of course, no one is exactly exerting themselves to free her.)

Defeat, yes. Kill, no. Unless you want to kiss the mortal realms bye-bye, in the case of a Great God. If you kill a lesser god, like Weiryn, prepare to see the lands in which he's worshipped be destroyed--in which case you've got all the other gods with responsibilities there looking for you. Best to think of something else.
