Tammy, I've been trying to find out how many brothers and sisters Kel actually has. I tried counting (but lost count due to my inabilty with numbers) and there was no other thread about this. So could you please tell me?
Plus I just want to thank you 'cause over the last two years I've been in and out of hospital and your books were the only ones I read (and re read) as I couldn't handle anything new. Sorry for the randomness.

We've never really figured it out for sure. Tammy said once that Kel has seven brothers and sisters:
Anders, Inness, and Conal, her knight brothers Adalia and Oranie, her sisters Demadria and Patricine, her much older sisters who are never mentioned in canon (well, Patricine has a very brief mention in Page)
That adds up to seven, but there's also the nameless brother that Kel says is attending the royal university. So we're not really sure where he fits in, or what order her other siblings go in, although we have figured out that Oranie and Adalia are closest to her in age, Oranie being the younger one.

At some point I actually sorted out the sibs, though not the nieces and nephews. Brace yourselves, kiddies:
in order of birth m. = married
Anders (knight) m. Vorinna of Richcaffery = 3 offspring Patricine m. Toshuro noh Akaneru (Yamani noble) = offspring Inness (knight) m. Tilaine of Teresian = 2 offspring Conal (knight) (I like to think it's his own personality that keeps him unmarried) Demadina m. Gelvan of haMinch (knight) = offspring, dunno how many Adelia m. Merovec of Nond (must have kids by now) Oranie m. Ortien of Hannalof Keladry, lady knight Avinar (studying at City of the Gods during Kel's page/squire term, now studying in Carthak)
Juliana, I'm glad my books helped you with hospital--always glad to be of use in unpleasant situations. And I devoutly hope that all of that is over for you! ?

Is Gelvan the son of Lord Padrach HaMinch, Wyldon's replacement? And I can't believe that Ilane had nine children. No wonder Kel said that her dowry would be very small.
